FULL BIO
Marie-Anne Haour is Operations Manager and Senior Project Manager for WDHB Consulting Group, in Berkeley, California. While managing the WDHB team, she also oversees the company’s various internal and external projects. As a Senior Project Manager, she works directly with clients, including L’Oréal, Michelin, Suez.
Marie-Anne holds a double degree in International Management, from both Lancaster University in the United Kingdom, and Reims Management School in France. She has worked for Veolia Environment in London, UK, where she was responsible for coordinating marketing projects and promotional campaigns. She has also worked for Renault in Dublin, playing a leading role in the launching of the Mégane car range in Ireland. In 2004, she coordinated projects for Mitsubishi Corporation’s agro-food department in Paris, working with clients including Danone and Orangina.
Leaving Europe for the United States in 2005, Marie-Anne started as a Research Assistant in a design and innovation laboratory at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. She developed a strong interested for human centered design, which lead her to pursue Social Psychology and Cultural Anthropology classes at Stanford University.
Marie-Anne is also involved in various humanitarian activities. While fulfilling her studies in Europe, she was elected Vice President of the RMS Student Association, as well as worked in partnership with the NGO Sports Without Borders, building sport facilities for children in Afghanistan. She also volunteered in an orphanage in the Philippines, where she taught Math and English to abused children. She continues to volunteer with various organizations in the Bay Area.
Although she was raised in Japan, Marie-Anne’s roots are to be found in both France and the Philippines. Having grown up in a multicultural environment, she has developed a strong passion for other cultures. In addition to being a fervent traveler, she is a dedicated rock climber and hiker.
